   I managed the takeoff ok, and we were flying over the bay towards the Rhode Island coast when out of NOWHERE this plane that looks just like mine comes RIGHT AT US. The Ray-Bans didn't help me see it coming at all! I jerk the stick to the right, and I thought I missed him when I feel the plane smack into his. All the dials just start spinning like crazy, and I'm trying to level the plane out and my boys are all yelling at me "What's going on?!" And I'm like "I don't know, this thing's got more dials and gauges than a darn power plant!" By the time we calmed down and got back on our flight path, we couldn't see the other plane at all. To this day I'm not sure what happened to that other plane. I was scared to report it because flying without a license would get me in serious trouble, and I can't help but think that the collision could have been caused by me not checking in with air traffic control on takeoff.
